am a general office worker. I have special skills in software which makes
me valuable. Some of my co-workers want to learn my skills but Im
afraid to lose my job. What should I do?

First, talk to your supervisor or manager. Do what your manager says.
If your manager says dont do it, then dont. If your manager
says do it, then make sure you do a good job at teaching others. In doing
so, you become an expert not only in your specialty but in teaching others
as well. This will enhance your resume toward a better position. Those
who can teach others are highly valued employees, not only by managers
but by co-workers as well. |
